Post Co-vid Landlord/Tenant Rescue!

As a landlord I believe my tenants will treat their home with respect, if I treat their home with respect. One of my units in a triplex, has a very tiny bathroom, with an old fashioned claw foot tub, tucked into the eave of the home, so my tenant there can only have a tub, showering in her tub is NOT an option. We did invest in a special order gooseneck tap for this unit and it had a rubber hose attachment so she should wash her hair more easily. Just before Covid this tenant gave me a frozen handle on this tap, as part of her annual handyman list. Unfortunately, instead of calling me to say this tap needed to be replaced, he ran around tried with no luck to find a fixture, or replacement piece and instead installed a sink fixture on the tub which left my tenant being forced to wash her hair in the kitchen! Then Covid hit, during the first reopening, I ordered a new gooseneck with attached shower fixture, that cost almost $500.00. The second wave came and my tenant did not really want anyone coming in to install it. Well when it lifted again, I owned the tap, ie. if it did not fit or function the return time window had elapsed. A couple plumbers I contacted and gave the specs to, refused to even try to install the replacement taps. Finally, a company that advertised themselves as problem solvers went to my tenants, saw her bathroom and the brand new still in the box tap and this time they did call me. They told me they would have to charge over $1000.00 to install the taps, but could not guarantee that they would not leak and if they did leak, they would come back and charge me more, but might end up breaking the taps. Then the plumber’s assistant called me again and said he would call the next day to the supplier to see if he could get an adapter, that would increase the odds of no leak, and would let me know. I never heard from him and did not call them back as I could not justify, such a high bill when i had already paid for the tap!!!! Then I called Mark. He got someone there promptly…installed the taps, quickly, with no leaks and even also dealt with routine plumbing issues with my another tenant in the same building on the same day…and the whole bill was significantly less than $200.00!!! Prompt, professional, competent and beyond Fair pricing. I hope this company stays in business for decades to come because I cannot see the need for any other plumber!!!!! ever!

Amazing service

Mark and his crew did a bathroom renovation for us and did it in a timely manner during material struggles of COVID. No fault of anyone we had hot water tank issues a few months later and they came and took care of it the same day it happened. Mark and his crew are efficient and very helpful. I would highly recommend Blue Collar Plumbing to anyone for their plumbing needs.

Provided written estimate for work including parts and labour. Plumber showed up on-time and was experienced professional. All plumbing work completed in a timely manner, and old parts and packaging removed leaving work area clean. Would use this service again and recommend Blue Collar Plumbing and Home Depot Service recommendations.

Started having problems on a Saturday. We called and left a message, we also called several local plumbers. Come Monday morning they were the first ones to get back to me. They were able to get out to us late afternoon Monday. He spent quite a bit of time fixing our problem and his fees were honest and fair. We would definitely use his services next time.
